Common questions about dehydrated citrus fruits

Dehydrated citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons, and limes, retain their natural vitamins and antioxidants while having a more concentrated flavor. They are convenient for long-term storage, add a tangy touch to recipes, and can be used for teas, infusions, and garnishes.

Dehydrated citrus slices or zest can be added to teas, cocktails, marinades, and baked goods. They enhance the flavor of dishes and beverages without the need for refrigeration.

Vitamin C is sensitive to heat, so some loss occurs during dehydration. However, if dried at lower temperatures, a significant portion of the vitamin content can be preserved.

Yes! Citrus peels can be dehydrated and later ground into a fine powder to be used as a natural flavoring in dishes, teas, and desserts. They also work well as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical cleaning agents.

Store them in airtight containers in a cool, dark place to prevent moisture absorption and preserve their flavor. Vacuum-sealing can extend their shelf life even further.
